Ingredients
Garnish
- Coriander Leaves (optional) (garnish) — 2 tbsp (chopped)
Main
- salt (optional) (whole)
- Dosa Batter (Classic) — 250 g (whole)
- Peanuts — 100 g (whole)
Tempering
- Coconut Oil — 2 tbsp (whole)
Method
- Dry roast the peanuts in a pan until they turn crunchy and lightly golden, then cool and roughly crush them. Mix the crushed peanuts with a little salt into the dosa batter, or keep them ready to sprinkle over the dosa while cooking.
- Heat a flat tawa on medium-high flame and grease it lightly with coconut oil.
- Pour a ladle of dosa batter onto the hot tawa and spread it in a thin, even circular layer using the back of the ladle.
- Sprinkle the crushed peanuts evenly over the spreading dosa while it is still wet, pressing gently so they stick.
- Drizzle coconut oil around the edges and let the dosa cook on medium flame until the base turns golden and crisp.
- Fold the dosa in half or roll it once the peanuts are toasted and the edges lift easily from the tawa.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve this Telangana-style peanut dosa hot with chutney of your choice.
