- Dosa Batter (Classic) — 250 g (whole)
- salt (optional) (whole)
Tempering
- Coconut Oil — 2 tbsp (whole)
Method
- Use well-fermented dosa batter (rice and urad dal soaked, ground, fermented overnight). Add salt and a little water to reach a pourable, slightly thin consistency.
- Heat a tawa until hot. Sprinkle a few drops of water; it should sizzle. Wipe with an oiled cloth.
- Pour a ladle of batter at the centre and spread outward in a spiral into a thin circle. Drizzle a little oil around the edges.
- Cook on medium-high until the base turns golden and crisp and the edges lift. Fold and serve hot with chutney and sambar.
