
Sattu Chilla
Thin sattu pancake cooked on tawa with onion, green chilli, and coriander. Bihar protein-rich breakfast crepe.

Garnish
- Coriander Leaves (optional) (garnish) — 2 tbsp (chopped)
Main
- Curd — 250 g (whole)
- Water — 100 ml (whole)
- green chillies — 2 piece (chopped)
- salt (optional) (whole)
- Gram Flour — 1 cup (ground)
- Sattu (Pure Chana) — 250 g (ground)
- onion — 100 g (chopped)
- cumin — 3 g (whole)
Tempering
- Mustard Oil — 2 tbsp (whole)
Method
- In a large bowl, combine sattu, gram flour, curd and salt.
- Gradually add water, whisking continuously to form a smooth, lump-free, thin flowing batter (similar to dosa batter).
- Stir in the finely chopped onion, green chilli and cumin seeds.
- Heat a tawa/griddle on medium flame and grease lightly with mustard oil.
- Pour a ladleful of batter and spread it thin into a circle. Drizzle a little mustard oil around the edges.
- Cook until the base turns golden and edges start lifting, then flip and cook the other side until golden.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with green chutney or achar.
