- Water — 2 cup (whole)
- Butter — 60 g (whole)
Method
- Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan and add the tea leaves.
- Boil the tea leaves for 8-10 minutes on medium flame until the brew turns dark and strong.
- Strain the tea decoction into a churning vessel (traditionally a wooden gur-gur, a blender works too).
- Add the butter and salt to the hot tea.
- Churn vigorously for a few minutes until the butter is fully emulsified and the tea turns frothy and creamy.
