Tamil/Kerala-style poha — flattened rice (aval) tempered with mustard seeds, black urad dal, curry leaves, asafoetida, and roasted peanuts; sauteed with onion, ginger, green chillies, turmeric. Finished with lemon juice and fresh coriander. A quick, light, oil-tempered South Indian breakfast — distinct from the heavier Maharashtrian kanda-poha.
