
Assamese Poha Jolpan

Ingredients
- Flattened Rice — 250 g (ground)
- banana — 100 g (chopped)
- Curd — 100 g (whole)
- Jaggery — 100 g (whole)
- salt (optional) (whole)
Method
- Rinse the flattened rice (chira/poha) once and put it in a bowl. Cover with a little water and let it soak for about 10-15 minutes until soft.
- Gently squeeze out the excess water from the soaked flattened rice.
- Add fresh curd (doi) and mix lightly so the flattened rice is coated.
- Add jaggery (gur) to taste and sliced banana. Fold everything together.
- Serve immediately as a cold, no-cook Assamese jolpan breakfast.
