  1. Rinse the flattened rice (chira/poha) once and put it in a bowl. Cover with a little water and let it soak for about 10-15 minutes until soft.
  2. Gently squeeze out the excess water from the soaked flattened rice.
  3. Add fresh curd (doi) and mix lightly so the flattened rice is coated.
  4. Add jaggery (gur) to taste and sliced banana. Fold everything together.
  5. Serve immediately as a cold, no-cook Assamese jolpan breakfast.
