
Monsoon Pakora
Mixed vegetable fritters in besan batter. Jharkhand rainy season tea-time favorite.

Ingredients
Garnish
- Coriander Leaves (optional) (garnish) — 2 tbsp (chopped)
Main
- Gram Flour — 100 g (ground)
- Potato — 70 g (chopped)
- onion — 70 g (chopped)
- salt (optional) — 3 to_taste (whole)
Tempering
- Mustard Oil — 2 tbsp (whole)
Method
- Thinly slice the onion and potato; chop the coriander leaves.
- Mix gram flour with salt and a little water into a thick batter; fold in the sliced onion, potato, and coriander leaves.
- Heat mustard oil in a deep kadhai on medium flame until hot.
- Drop spoonfuls of the vegetable batter into the hot oil.
- Fry in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crisp; drain on paper towels. Serve hot with chutney and chai.
