
Apatani Fish Rice

Ingredients
Garnish
- Coriander Leaves (optional) (garnish) — 2 tbsp (chopped)
Main
- fish — 250 g (chopped)
- rice — 250 g (ground)
- salt (optional) (whole)
Tempering
- oil — 2 tbsp (whole)
- Cumin Seeds — 1 tsp (whole)
Method
- Clean the paddy fish, rinse well and pat dry. Rinse the rice.
- Cook the rice with water and a little salt until soft and fluffy.
- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add the fish and cook gently, breaking into flakes, until done and lightly browned.
- Fold the cooked rice into the fish, season with salt, mix well.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
