- Ghee — 218 g (whole)
- gond — 1 tbsp (ground)
- Cloves (Laung - Zanzibar Premium Grade) — 0.5 tbsp (ground)
- Milk — 0.25 cup (whole)
- dry ginger powder — 3 tbsp (ground)
- Khoya (Dhap - Soft/Moist) — 250 g (whole)
- sugar — 0.5 cup (whole)
- Cardamom Powder — 0.5 tbsp (ground)
- Cashew Nuts (optional) (whole)
- Peepramul (Ganoda - Long Pepper Root) — 1 tbsp (ground)
- mixed nuts — 1 cup (whole)
Tempering
- black urad dal — 2 cup (ground)
Method
- To prepare Gujarati Style Adadiya Pak Recipe, in a mixing bowl combine, urad dal atta, milk, ghee.Mix well.Rub flour with palm for 3-4 minutes.Heat the ghee in kadai or heavy bottom kadai.
- Add flour mixture.Continuously stir it on medium flame till the mixture is brown in color.Meanwhile, combine sugar and water in a saucepan.
- Prepare a sugar syrup of 1 string consistency and keep ready.When flour starts to get brown color, add fried edible gum(gond) and grated khoya.
- Saute for a couple of minutes.Turn off the flame and add chopped nuts.
- Mix well.Allow the mixture to cool a bit.
- When mixture is lukewarm, combine it with sugar syrup.
- Mix well.Allow it to set for a while.
