Method

  1. Soak raw rice for 3-4 hours, then drain well.
  2. Grind the soaked rice with chopped ripe banana, jaggery and cardamom to a semi-coarse batter.
  3. Rest the batter for about 1 hour.
  4. Heat ghee in a kadai. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot ghee.
  5. Deep-fry on low-medium flame until golden brown and cooked through, turning once. Drain and offer warm as prasadam.
