
Tirupati Appam Prasadam
Sweet rice pancakes deep-fried in ghee. Tirumala temple offering with banana and jaggery.

- Cardamom — 2 piece (ground)
Main
- banana — 100 g (chopped)
- Ghee — 100 g (whole)
- Jaggery — 100 g (whole)
- rice — 200 g (ground)
- salt (optional) (whole)
Method
- Soak raw rice for 3-4 hours, then drain well.
- Grind the soaked rice with chopped ripe banana, jaggery and cardamom to a semi-coarse batter.
- Rest the batter for about 1 hour.
- Heat ghee in a kadai. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot ghee.
- Deep-fry on low-medium flame until golden brown and cooked through, turning once. Drain and offer warm as prasadam.
