
Goan Beef Cutlet
Spiced minced beef patties coated in breadcrumbs and fried. Goan Catholic tea-time favourite.

Ingredients
Garnish
- Coriander Leaves (optional) (garnish) — 2 tbsp (chopped)
Main
- Gram Flour — 5 tsp (ground)
- wheat bread crumbs — 0.5 cup
- salt (optional) (whole)
- Beef — 250 g (chopped)
Tempering
- Coconut Oil — 2 tbsp (whole)
Method
- Mince or finely chop the beef and cook until tender.
- Mix the cooked minced beef with coriander leaves and salt into a firm mixture, binding with a little gram flour paste.
- Shape the mixture into oval patties.
- Dip each patty in a thin gram-flour slurry, then coat evenly with breadcrumbs.
- Heat coconut oil in a kadhai on medium flame. Shallow-fry the cutlets in batches until golden brown and crisp.
- Drain on paper towels. Serve hot with chutney.
