Oval chhena sweet soaked in sugar syrup and coated with mawa and grated coconut. Bengali sweet from Shaktigarh.

- Khoya (Dhap - Soft/Moist) — 100 g (whole)
- sugar — 100 g (whole)
- Coconut (garnish) — 15 g (chopped)
- Paneer — 100 g (whole)
Method
- Knead the fresh chhena (paneer) until smooth, then shape into small oval/cylindrical pieces.
- Prepare a light sugar syrup with sugar, water and cardamom and bring to a gentle boil.
- Drop the chhena ovals into the simmering syrup, cover, and cook 15-20 minutes until they swell and turn spongy.
- Cool the cham cham in the syrup. Optionally slit and fill with sweetened khoya.
- Roll in grated coconut before serving.
