Avarekalu Huli Saru is a traditional Old Mysore Vokkaliga curry made during the winter avarekalu (hyacinth bean) season. Fresh field beans are simmered with a coconut-coriander-green chilli paste, tempered with mustard, curry leaves, and tamarind. Served warm with ragi mudde, akki rotti, or steamed rice as a seasonal Karnataka classic.
