Mahua Drink
Mahua (Madhuca longifolia) is a traditional ALCOHOLIC tribal/Adivasi spirit of Jharkhand and central-east India. Dried mahua flowers are soaked with water and jaggery, naturally fermented for several days, then distilled into a clear country liquor (roughly 25-45% ABV). Drunk neat by indigenous communities; used in rituals and festivals. Not a soft drink.
Ingredients
- Jaggery — 50 gram (whole)
- Water — 2 cup (whole)
- Mahua Flower — 150 gram (dried)
Method
- Gather all ingredients for Mahua Drink.
- Blend or mix all ingredients together until smooth.
- Strain if needed. Adjust sweetness and salt to taste.
