
Coconut Laddu
Coconut and jaggery balls, popular Tripura festival sweet. Simple, two-ingredient traditional preparation.

Ingredients
Garnish
- Cardamom — 2 piece (ground)

- Jaggery — 100 g (whole)
- salt (optional) (whole)
- Coconut — 250 g (chopped)
Tempering
Method
- Heat ghee in a pan on low flame.
- Add the grated coconut and roast for 3-4 minutes until lightly fragrant.
- Add the jaggery and cook, stirring continuously, until it melts and combines with the coconut into a thick, glossy mixture that starts to leave the sides of the pan.
- Add the cardamom powder and mix well; turn off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
- While still warm, take small portions and roll into smooth balls (laddus).
- Let the laddus cool completely and set before serving.
