- Cardamom — 2 piece (ground)
- badam (optional) (garnish) — 20 g (whole)
Main
- Wheat Flour (Atta) — 250 g (ground)
- Jaggery — 150 g (whole)
- salt (optional) (whole)
- Ghee — 100 g (whole)
Method
- Knead the coarse whole wheat flour with melted ghee and a little warm water into a stiff dough; shape into small thick discs (baatis).
- Deep-fry the baatis slowly in ghee on low-medium flame until deep golden brown and cooked through, then let them cool slightly.
- Crush or grind the cooled baatis into a coarse, flaky crumb (churma).
- Warm the jaggery gently with a little ghee until it melts into a syrupy consistency, then mix it thoroughly into the crushed churma along with the chopped almonds and cardamom powder.
- While the mixture is still warm, shape it firmly into round ladoos by hand.
